Kenge Kouture LLC: Redefining Style with Artistic Elegance

Nkenge Nigeria Wiggins was born and raised in Brownsville Brooklyn. At a very young age she had a great love for dance , performing arts , theater ,TV, film music videos and fashion . Nkenge started repurposing her clothing at the age 10 years old. In the summer her dance group would perform at neighborhood block parties as well as local talent showcases . Nkenge would create concepts and design costumes for her groups performances to go along with the musical theme. Nkenge is a self taught seamstress and custom designer specializing in custom designs, alterations , accessories and gowns. Nkenge is passionate about re creating and repurposing fashion as well as teaching the art fashion and sewing to the youth in her local community. Nkenge is a Lehman college alumni she studied Therapeutic Recreation and administration where she Graduated Suma Clum laude in 2006. Nkenge worked in health care , mental health and education fields that allowed her to use her creativity. In 2021 Nkenge took a leap of faith and switched lanes and changed service fields in the midst of a global pandemic to pursue her fashion dreams . Nkenge enrolled in the Misa Hylton Fashion Academy .
